About Studio More

Studio More is a contemporary architecture office founded in 2023 in Stuttgart, Germany. We are a young, ambitious team of architects dedicated to shaping the future of the built environment through innovative, sustainable, and context-sensitive design.

At Studio More, architecture is more than just construction — it’s a tool to improve lives, challenge conventions, and create spaces that matter. Our work spans from residential and cultural projects to pavilions and experimental structures that explore new materials and methods of making. Every project is rooted in architectural research, yet grounded in real-world needs and constraints.

Studio more specialises in converting existing buildings to meet current requirements and needs. Together with specialised planners, this service can be offered in its entirety.

New construction

How can you build attractive new buildings from today’s perspective? This question occupies studio more from a sustainable, economic and design perspective and characterises the designs and projects for new buildings. Studio more offers new buildings in the full planning scope (service phases 1-8) or as design/authorisation planning (up to service phase 4). Collaborations with other planners and contractors are very welcome.

Teaching and research

Teaching has been an important part of studio more since 2018. They are active in teaching ‘Design and Building Theory’ at the Technical University of Nuremberg under Prof. Carola Dietrich, as well as at the University of Stuttgart in the field of building materials science and integrative building technology. Among other things, studio more is involved in materials research and development with the aim of advancing the knowledge and use of sustainable, natural building materials. studio more was part of the development and implementation phase of the research building of the Excellence Cluster at the University of Stuttgart, which was fortunately recognised as an IBA 27 project.

Über Studio More

Studio More ist ein zeitgenössisches Architekturbüro, das 2023 in Stuttgart gegründet wurde. Wir sind ein junges, engagiertes Team von Architekt:innen, das die gebaute Umwelt durch innovative, nachhaltige und kontextbezogene Architektur neu denkt und gestaltet.

Für uns ist Architektur mehr als nur Bauen – sie ist ein Werkzeug, um Leben zu verbessern, Konventionen zu hinterfragen und Räume mit Bedeutung zu schaffen. Unsere Projekte reichen von Wohnhäusern und kulturellen Bauten bis hin zu Pavillons und experimentellen Strukturen, in denen wir neue Materialien und Konstruktionsweisen erforschen. Jeder Entwurf basiert auf architektonischer Forschung, ist aber gleichzeitig fest im Alltag verankert.

Wir verbinden architektonische Klarheit und kreative Präzision mit einer starken konzeptuellen Haltung, um mutige und dennoch feinsinnige Lösungen zu entwickeln. Studio more ist im Umbau von Gebäudebestand nach aktuellen Anforderungen und Bedürfnissen spezialisiert. Zusammen mit FachpanerInnen kann diese Leistung vollumfänglich angeboten werden.

Studien und Wettbewerbe

Im Bereich der Studien und Wettbewerbe konnte studio more unter anderem durch die Mitarbeit in verschiedenen führenden Büros, wie zum Beispiel allmannwappner und COBE Berlin – Vanessa Carlow, fundiertes Wissen und Umsetzungspraxis sammeln.

Neubau

Wie kann man unter heutigen Gesichtspunkten attraktiv neu bauen? Diese Frage beschäftigt studio more auf nachhaltiger, wirtschaftlicher und entwerferischer Sicht und prägt die Entwürfe und Projekte für Neubauten. Studio more bietet Neubauten im vollen Planungsumfang (Leistungsphase 1-8) oder auch als Entwurfs-/Genehmigungsplanung (bis Leistungsphase 4) an. Kollaborationen mit weiteren Planenden und Ausführenden sind sehr willkommen.

Lehre und Forschung

Seit 2018 ist die Lehre ein wichtiger Bestandteil von studio more. Sie sind in der Lehre für “Entwerfen und Gebäudelehre” an der Technischen Hochschule Nürnberg bei Prof. Carola Dietrich, sowie an der Universität Stuttgart im Bereich der Baustofflehre sowie der Integrativen Gebäudetechnik aktiv. Unter anderem beschäftigt sich studio more in der Materialforschung und -entwicklung mit dem Ziel das Wissen und den Einsatz nachhaltiger, natürlicher Baustoffe voranzubringen. studio more war Teil der Entwicklungs- und Ausführungsphase des Forschungsgebäudes des Exzellenzkluster der Universität Stuttgart, welches als IBA 27 Projekt erfreulicherweise anerkannt wurde.

Umbau Haus U5

Studio More widmet sich allen Themen und Leistungsphasen der Architektur. Die genannten Leitfäden und Aspekte beeinflussen das Werk maßgeblich. Eine wichtige Aufgabe derzeit besteht in der Dekarbonisierung unserer gebauten und neu zu bauenden Umwelt. Die Umbauten und energetischen Sanierungen von Bestandsgebäuden sind wichtiger und essentieller Teil von studio more.
